01 Can I make a reservation?

We do not accept reservations. With only eleven counter seats, it is walk-in only, first come first served.

02 What are your hours and closed days?

Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri 07:00–14:30; Saturday 07:00–15:00. Closed Wednesdays, Sundays, public holidays, and Toyosu Market closure days. We follow the market calendar, so please check before you visit.

03 Where exactly are you in Toyosu Market?

We are on the third floor of the Fish Intermediate Wholesale Building (Block 6) of Toyosu Market. You can reach us via the connecting walkway from Shijomae Station on the Yurikamome line.

04 How old is the shop?

We were founded in 1909 (Meiji 42). Beginning in a Nihonbashi market, we spent over eighty years in Tsukiji, then moved to Toyosu with the market in 2018. A bowl shop of more than a hundred years.

05 What is a kaisendon?

A kaisendon is a rice bowl topped with an assortment of fresh sashimi seafood over vinegared or plain rice. Each morning we choose the best fish of the day from the wholesalers and arrange tuna, uni, ikura, scallop and more.

06 What is the signature dish?

The signature dishes are Kiwami Tokusen Don, Marutto Hokkai Mori, Seared Honmaguro Otoro Tokusen Don.

07 How much does it cost per person?

Most items are priced around ¥2,800–¥3,800. Prices shown at the shop are authoritative.

08 What kind of place is it — and what occasion suits it?

Founded in 1909 (Meiji 42). Begun as a market eatery in Nihonbashi, it spent more than eighty years in the Uogashi Yokocho of the old Tsukiji market. In October 2018 it moved with the market to Toyosu. Today it is a small eleven-seat counter on the third floor of the Toyosu Fish Intermediate Wholesale Building, choosing the best fish of the day from the wholesalers each morning. It's an easygoing spot for an everyday meal — no special occasion needed.
